Mobile 5 and PocketPC Flash Player 7, Flex works!
April 4th, 2006
The new Flash Player for Mobile 5 and Pocket PC can be found here Link to Flash Player 7 PocketPC.
I have tried out the download and it installed fine on my Treo 700w. So far with my limited testing I see my flex application trying to initialize and load when it bonks out and gives me an out of memory error.
I just tested FLV’s they play but the devices CPU speed will make a big difference if it works or not. It was choppy probably from CPU performance issues, but the FLV’s played. (700w I think is about 312Mhz XScale)
I tested a very basic Flex application, and everything worked just fine. Device specifications will affect the abilities of the application.
My phone is constantly crashing since I have installed Flash Player 7 for Pocket PC, might need some work.

Copy the CAB file to your mobile device and then double click it from the mobile file explorer.
