One More Reason to get Flash Player 9

July 12th, 2006 中文

I read the post at beedigital.com and followed it over to Secunia.

Here is an excerpt:

The vulnerability is caused due to unspecified memory access errors within the handling of SWF files and can be exploited via a specially crafted SWF file

I wonder what “specially crafted SWF file” means, lol. I guess it was funny at the moment. Reminds me of the code some of my friends at school wrote during a ACM practice problem. They didn’t care to finish the problem first but wanted to make the code display a U N L V scrolling down ward with the source code. Ok, I do not think it means that kind of specially crafted code.

Either way, the solutions states to upgrade to Flash Player 9. One more good reason to make the jump, come on everyone lets get the 80% pentration time down to 3 months (hehe)
