Flash Player 9 (ActiveX) Installer Issues

I had trouble installing Flash Player 9 (ActiveX version) into Internet Explorer. This is the process I followed to fix the issue.

1. Download latest uninstaller from labs.adobe.com. (I had some old ones on my comp and they didn’t work).
2. Close all Internet Explorer browsers.
3. Install Flash Player 9 from labs.adobe.com.

And it should work now.

It sounds simple but I and others have had issues with installing the Flash Player 9 over our Flash Player 8 in IE. The simple steps above will fix the problem.

Firefox did not have any issues, it did its normal check to kill the open browsers and came back up after the installation with Flash Player 9 working correctly.
