Flash 8 startup makes a URL call

I just noticed that when you start up Flash 8 Professional that it makes a call to a macromedia.com URL. http://www.macromedia.com/go/startpageflpro?api=1&lvl=1&ver=8.0.0&p… This call then goes and makes some other calls: http://www.adobe.com/go/startpageflpro?api=1&lvl=1&ver=8.0.0&p… http://www.adobe.com/startpage/flpro_content/flpro_customize.xml http://www.adobe.com/startpage/om_acct_nm.txt http://www.adobe.com/startpage/flpro_content/flashpro_800_content.xml Interesting, they can customize the open page off the web. Hmmm… I didn’t know that.

Blog URL change and it blasted the Aggregator

Sorry about the blast of posts on the MXNA aggregator. I went through and changed over my blog to use mod_rewrite and I guess that made all my post act like they are new.

The End is Near, for the “first half of 2006″ that is!

The now so often quoted “first half of 2006″ is growing closer to the end. What does this refer too, well Flex2 of course. If you have been in a hole for last 6-8 months you might not know about this (or if you don’t like Flex2, but that isn’t anybody reading this). It should be a very interesting week…
