Moving to Battle Ground, WA (Portland Area)

Change is fun isn’t it? My wife and I have wanted to move up to the Pacific Northwest for a few years now. We finally just made it happen. I grew up in Nevada (Henderson and Las Vegas) but it has changed quite a bit from when I was a kid catching lizards, snakes, and turtles in the desert.

I am still at the same job with Adobe (Game Developer Evangelist) and nothing work-wise has changed. I’ll miss the friends I have in Vegas and catching up with many of you that come to Vegas throughout the year.

    Congrats on the move! My advice from living in the Northwest for most of my life: get a dehumidifier for your bathroom, stock up on vitamin D, enjoy the green, incorporate lots of books and coffee into your life. That and Plants of the Pacific Northwest Coast (Pojar & McKinnon) is a fantastic field guide for plants in the area.

    We are getting ready to move to the same area at the end of the year. Any other tips you’ve picked up? Do you love it?

      Its wet, but everyone says that. We love it up here.
